Is the Color Board Eyeshadow Palette on TikTok worth all the hype?

I’ve been seeing this palette all over TikTok and I had to try it. $16.88 for 60 shades, what was there to lose?

I used the P. Louise eyeshadow primer ($15) on one eyelid and Colour Pop’s No Filter concealer ($7) on the other just to give it a base for the test run, and I used PÜR Cosmetic’s brushes to apply it. First impressions, I was shocked at how pigmented it was. I’d say it’s actually comparable to the James Charles palette, especially if you’re short on cash and looking for a colorful palette. They were beautiful and surprisingly blendable.

For this look, I used the yellows and blues in the palette. It did take a little more effort to get clean lines, but it’s what you’d expect for the price. Overall, I was really happy with pigment.

What Amazon says: “Here’s our most colorful palette yet! This plate has a total of 60 colors, It's really really worth it. Whether you’re going for something natural with a hint of color, or you’re trying to create a dramatic, show-stopping look, you have every shade you could possibly need in this palette.”

The final verdict:

It’s the affordability for me. Like I said, I think it’s definitely comparable to James Charles palette if you’re short on cash and looking for a colorful palette. I mean, 60 shades for $0.28 each is a steal! Plus, it’s compact and it’s versatile.

Did it stain my eyes?

For those who were wondering on my TikTok: no it did not! All I used was my Tarte Micellar Water and my CeraVe SA Cleanser and it came off without a struggle.
